HRH Queen Ameenata Koita

HRH Queen Ameenata Koita A brand ambassador of spreading love and self-love Linkedin Facebook HRH Queen Ameenata Koita demolishes all myths about a queen’s title. A multi-faceted Pan African entrepreneur, she is a certified Human Rights Consultant, Certified Business Consultant, and Queen of Fulbe in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Her official title is The Sarauniya of Fulbe, and she works under the Leadership of His Royal Highness Sarki Fulani Koita. One of Queen Ameenata’s jobs is to oversee all economic development for the tribe in the Ashanti region, a task of profound responsibility and importance. Originally, she started a business in the USA called Black Wall Street Arizona (BWSAZ) intending to teach the importance of group economics, wealth, and legacy building. After working on the local and national level, Queen Ameenata then expanded and started Black Wall Street Africa with some business partners in Ghana. At the outset, she was trying to educate her people at the local level about ethnic centers of commerce. After working in the community for several years, Queen Ameenata realized that people not only lacked knowledge about money and the importance of spending it on their own people, but they also lacked knowledge about Human Rights and proper Business practices. This unsettling reality saddened the international leader, who then vowed to change things for the better. After procuring a global certificate, Queen Ameenata became an unstoppable woman on a mission. “I used BWSAZ as a training ground for business since it all ties into economics and money,” she adds. For Queen Ameenata, leadership is a servant position, where one must model the way by walking alongside others and doing the work. Throwing more light on her leadership style, she says, “It is very friendly  and laid back. I let people make their own decisions, lead by example, keep communication open and respect all opinions. I seek people who are dissimilar and I seek out diversity in all aspects so we have different perspectives.” The ever-optimistic Queen Ameenata believes that her experimental learnings are not just lessons for her, but also her team, colleagues, clients, and friends. Even though scary, she finds the process of undergoing something, learning from it, and ultimately sharing the testimony with others quite incredible. “I try to take those experiences and learn from them because you never actually “flunk” out of life; you just get reenrolled until you learn the lesson.” This zestful lady with a global presence attributes her success to a comprehensive list of things, including lessons from failures, perseverance, a never-quit attitude, effective networking, willingness to partner, taking a back seat to let others shine, and treating everyone right, even when they have wronged her. In addition, for the Sarkin of Fulbe in Ashanti Ghana to recognize her and her business was a very special moment in Queen Ameenata’s life and set the stage for many big things to happen. It all started with His Highness’ recognition of her as being part of the Koita Clan in a large tribe spanning many countries and His Highness’ name carries a lot of weight. To be welcomed into his family, given a traditional African name, and a time-honored role meant and still means the world to this influential woman who now enjoys Pan African respect. It is strengths like resilience and versatility that Queen Ameenata believes shepherded her this far in life. “I am like an oak tree- strongly planted but can sway with the wind without breaking. In other words, when things happen that were not a part of the plan, I can easily accommodate; it never gets me off task.” She overcomes her weakness of trusting too much by associating with people who caution her. “That has saved me a lot of heartaches.” Some of her awards and recognitions comprise Global Peace Ambassador (2021) Inspad GmbH, Enstooled Queen of Embo Kingdom (2021), iWoman Global Business Woman of the Year (2020), Businesswoman of the Year (2016) by All God’s Children’s Collectors Club, Women of Integrity Award (2016), and District Leader of the Year (2015) Black Wall Street USA, to name a few. In 2019, BWSAZ was honored as a Leading organization in Community Education (2019). Because of her Global Pan African presence, she has also been asked to serve as the Royal Grand Patron of several organizations around the world. These organizations serve humanity in many different aspects including women empowerment, girl/child initiatives, education, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. It is only fair to designate Queen Ameenata as a brand ambassador of spreading love and self-love. She believes in working for humanity as much as she loves herself.  Her passion is promoting sisterhood. “The world also puts the false standard of beauty on us, especially women of African descent. That is something else that drives me crazy. So, I stand with women all over the world in solidarity.” Queen Ameenata’s message to the world is, “What the world calls a failure is, in reality, the road to success. Do not give up!” Remember we are the village and everyone has a role to play. Just walk in your purpose and great things will happen.

Henzelene Heally

Henzelene Heally  Partner & Managing Director of the Examplary “Mezzle Lifestyle” Globe Instagram An Award-winning Global Lawyer, Henzelene ‘Henzie’ Heally is based in Dubai with a clientele spread all around the world Accomplished and skilled, Henzie studied Business Management in Canada before going on to study Law in New Zealand. She qualified with an LLB with Honors and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2014. In the same year, she moved to Dubai after being offered a permanent role at an international law firm she interned for during her school vacations, and founded her own legal consultancy in 2019 after praying for a job that she would love. Today, she is a Managing Partner and Managing Director at the prestigious Mezzle Law (Middle East). “A lot of lawyers are passionate about law, but often leave the legal practise because of the stress or long hours,” says Henzie, speaking about what attracted her to Mezzle. Mezzle is a customer centric and technology driven law firm, minimizing non-billable hours through innovation, and changing the lives of lawyers with the ‘Mezzle Lifestyle’. The Mezzle Lifestyle envisions a lawyer that has a healthy work-life balance. Mezzle has therefore become a firm that keeps sharing the love. Happy lawyers create happy clients and the cycle keeps repeating, becoming stronger every time. “The Mezzle Lifestyle is unparalleled and has given me back the freedom to enjoy the things that I love,” adds Henzie. The whole concept behind the model is that Mezzle is a remote based fee share model that has invested heavily in its back-office systems, supporting its legal experts by providing them with access to unique and revolutionary technology that helps them streamline non-billable work and free up their time, either for more billable work, or to simply enjoy the finer things that life has to offer. Since Mezzle has automated a lot of its processes and procedures, and created a one-of-a-kind Mezzle Cloud, lawyers are more efficient with less hours involved. This also means that lawyers can work remotely. Moms, for example, that have left the profession because they have had a child, can join Mezzle and continue to service their clients from home. People leaving the UAE can also continue to service their clients from wherever they are. Infact, the pandemic saw a huge influx of joinees to the Mezzle Lifestyle. “Since our client base was predominantly Start-ups, governmental entities and global conglomerates, we only saw the positive side of COVID (business wise). We saw people picking up side projects, people and companies focusing on growing their businesses, people and companies creating innovative new service and product offerings, and innovation in general. Lawyers also adapted to remote working, realising it was a better way to live,” shares Henzie. Thanks to its ideal concept, in less than a year, Mezzle has offices in both the UAE and the UK, and is looking to open two new offices by the end of 2022 to keep up with growing demands. It won Best Corporate & Commercial Law Firm 2022 during the 2022 Global Excellence Awards; was named one of the 5 Best Law Firms of 2022; and one of the Most Innovative Law Firms to Watch in 2022. Globally admired as a formidable lawyer, Henzie was labeled one of the Top 10 Business Leaders to Watch in 2021 and twice in 2022. She has been featured in various magazine articles and received an award of honour from the Women’s Empowerment Investment Forum, the Lex Falcon Award, and was named Lawyer of the Year, all in 2022. What is her biggest strength, we ask Henzie. “Creating relationships, which is very important as it breeds accountability and approachability and is important for a happy and successful team as well as happy clients.” And her biggest passion? “Life is short. I want to make it count. I don’t want a mediocre life, but an extraordinary one. I want a life where I can say I did what I wanted to do, I may have made a name for myself, and I had an adventure. I also want to help others succeed. I want to share my success to change lives,” she answers. A woman of substance and style, Henzie’s mantra for success is simple: “GO BIG! Reach for the stars. If you are going to do it, go all in. If it fails, at least you tried your best. But remember, many great minds, including Thomas Edison, had to make multiple attempts before the lightbulb was born. So if you fail, try, try again. If you are passionate about what you do, it will show, and people will be drawn to your passion.”

He was always supported by his friends and family members, especially his mother and wife who had encouraged and driven him to achieve his dream of being a class one mentor. He kept extracting the satisfaction and pleasure which fueled him evermore to carry on further. He shares how one should never feel hopeless, lost and tired. It was a major deviation from his regular course of action and he believes that not many get the chance in their life to turn their hobbies into a profession, thus feeling grateful for it. The impact of COVID-19 was impactful throughout the globe and so as well for Dr. Thaker. For him, the focus and targets must be backed by strength and courage while it also requires the support of near and dear ones. There could be changes to what and how we value certain things in life but one mustn’t let go of his final destination. For him. Life holds one true meaning of making other people and society a happier and more habitable place for all to live. It is people like him who are the need of the hour cause being goal-driven isn’t our sole motive as humans.

Saskia Harkema

Saskia Harkema  An Influential Leader, A Catalyst For Change and Peace Globe Instagram It is difficult to describe Saskia Harkema in a few words, and even more difficult to pin down. A great educator who serves as a role model for many. As the title says, Saskia actually works day and night to bring a wave of change, a ray of hope in everyone’s life, which is why she is adored by all, men, women, and youth alike. Saskia was born in the Netherlands to Dutch parents, but she spent the first 17 years of her life in South America – Brazil, Argentina, and Colombia. Her roots are firmly entrenched and defined in South America, where she was born and reared. Her time in South America laid the groundwork for her future development and progress. The changes she had to make to new situations were difficult. Her parents were daring individuals, which explains why they chose to live in South America in the first place. It may appear exotic from the outside, but it was a doubleedged sword. She has two lovely children, a boy and a daughter, whom she adopted at the age of four. She piqued her curiosity about human rights. Balancing her work with her personal life has always been a challenge. On the one hand, it was really thrilling for Saskia to spend some time somewhere and to explore a foreign culture that none of her family was born into. On the  other side, it has its drawbacks, since she struggled later in life to discover her cultural identity and feeling of belonging. She frequently questioned herself— “where do I belong?” She has become a world citizen, who blends easily anywhere. She quoted – “I felt restless in myself and rootless and wanted to find out how to solve this. It has been an inner struggle – I belong everywhere and nowhere at the same time.” She studied sociology and began her work as a consultant and then as international project manager Europe at Philips Lighting,. Gained practical and academic knowledge in the broad field of marketing and project management there. Saskia eventually earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of Bradford and transitioned into academics and teaching. She received her Ph.D. in 2004 from the University of Nyenrode in the Netherlands. Saskia has proved her hands-on and academic expertise in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship throughout the years Saskia had always wanted to be a part of something significant, to accomplish something for the greater good, and to develop a knowledge-centric force in society. Through her nonprofit Faces of Change, she has been assisting migrants, refugees, and disadvantaged persons in finding their place in society and realizing their ambitions for the past few years. Saskia is also a World Ambassador to The Netherlands for World Peace Tracts, a Female Wave of Change Ambassador for South America, and a Global Leader at Market Leaders International. She also lectures at many institutions across the globe, runs programs, and does research in the fields of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Diversity. Her main interest is in people, who are at the heart of both her academic work and her work as a human rights defender. Like everyone else, she has experienced disappointments in her life, but she has gained the capacity to impact people’s lives by presenting herself to them in her flaws, vulnerabilities, and by sharing all of the ups and downs in her life. In general terms, she believes that is our journey in life: to become who we truly and in essence are. It’s like a battle between what transactional theory refers to as our “natural kid” and “our little professor.” The latter distances us from our true selves and encourages us to adapt, conform, be good, and obey. Saskia aspires to be a transformation and renewal pioneer. Ideas for a range of topics flow to her effortlessly and in plenty. Her career is her passion, and it all revolves around innovation and change. She maintains that she has established a unique method for peacebuilding that has the potential to generate a paradigm shift in our understanding of peace. Her most recent book ‘Become a Peacebuilder and Impact Leader’ describes the methodology she and her team members of Impactleaders international, developed. It’s a simple but powerful message: let us all work together to achieve peace and perceive it as a value proposition. She may expedite change and build a critical mass to work on this Economy of Peace by transferring knowledge and creating a community of Peacebuilders and Impact Leaders. Her ultimate goal is to achieve this.

I have this motto – to make people better than I’ve met them, and to leave people better than I’ve found them. I have reached a place in my life where something more than money and ego drive me to do what I do in this world.” Sarah is especially passionate about helping women become ‘Limitless’, by taking their limits off, tapping their limitless potential and going after their limitless possibilities. In doing so, she has been bestowed with various international honours – Women’s Ladies League for Exceptional Women and Leader of Excellence, and The Iconic Woman of Creative Living Award, both, from the Women’s Economic Forum; Women’s Empowerment Award from the National Coalition of 100 Black Women; and many others. No successful journey is achieved without its share of challenges. How does Sarah face hers? “Through prayer and meditation. My faith from my mother Mary too helped me in my pursuits,” answers Sarah. She is quick to add that self-care is essential so that she can be the best version of herself for others: “I know when it is time for me to work and then make time for myself. Being centered is important to me for what I do, so that I can take the necessary steps to ensure my effectiveness, healthiness, and wellbeing, as I serve and set the example for others to do the same.”  This knowledge served Sarah well during the pandemic, when after a brief lull, she came up with different things to hoist her business. “I hosted virtual seminars and workshops for months, created books and other information regarding self-care, self love, and striving past the pandemic. That led to getting booked for services, speaking, and inevitably, clients. I have done better during the pandemic than in other years prior. I became immensely intentional and specific with my goals and gave myself timelines on fulfilling them, as well as capitalising on the opportunities to serve First Responders. I learned to trust my gut.. it never lies,” sums up Dr Sarah Langley.

Santarvis defines leadership in his own exquisite way based on his experience, “For me, leadership is both an art form and a science that you work on regularly. Leadership is not lording over people, manipulating people, or abusing them, it is taking those whom we serve forward. Leadership is also bringing out what you see in others, even when they don’t see it in themselves. Leadership is magical and mystical because it betters not only those who are led, but the one who leads. I think that an effective leader should always set out to make things better than they found them, and this includes creating more leaders in theprocess.” says the leader. ‘Faith has been my inspiration’ says Santarvis, one thing that has kept him going in good times and notso-good times. “My faith teaches me that my life is not my own, it is controlled by God who has already ordered my steps and destiny.” With the ultimate goal to leave an indelible imprint and lasting impact on all of those he served and engaged with. Education has changed over the last two years and it showed us that it is one inevitable thing. Despite sitting a thousand miles away people were accustomed to learning and teaching virtually and so did Santarvis. And on contrary the situation allowed him to stand out during the period and add innovation and creativity to it. With an undaunting mind like him, the speaker has touched the naked mind of thousands of students. He believes that it is the greatest virtue to run into former  students, as you see the impact and imprint on their lives. It is a bonus when you see them with their children, and they tell their children, he was my teacher. Today, he can look back on his arduous journey with pride. When he stepped towards his business journey, to impact thousands of lives through his wisdom. From global education strategies to working on the plan of action with the biggest entities. As a message to the readers, he shares, “I remember and live the words of Robert Frost, ‘I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence, two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less travelled by and it has made all the difference for me.’ Take the road less travelled, it will make all the difference for you.” It wouldn’t be wrong to address Santarvis as a visionary and trailblazer to be working tirelessly and impartially towards global impacts in the education space.
